Improve Vets Park (on land)! Redondo wants suggestions

Redondo is upgrading vets park in the 2017-2018 fiscal year and they want suggestions now. What would make it better for divers?

here’s what I’m writing:

Please improve the parking lot at the top of Freeth Way for scuba divers. The redondo submarine canyon, right out in front of vet’s, is one of the best beach dive sites in California. Not only is it a common spot for classes, but it’s actually a very interesting dive with lots of life. Amazing macro photography creatures come out of the sand at night, there are swarms of squid there in the winter time, and friends of mine have dove with gray whales. It’s one of the best places to find juvenile giant sea bass. It would be great to dress up the parking lot and highlight the scuba diving that goes on there:

-The wall could be covered with sea life mosaics, like the wall of the Sea Lab along harbor drive.

-The area could include a map or even a 3D relief of the canyon and the dive area.

-Showers near the cars and parking lot, or outside near the upper bathroom, would be great, or just fresh water for rinsing dive gear. Could be coin operated.

-The wall could include a chalkboard, for divers to tell each other about conditions and sightings.
