yes, we have had "mushy meat" lobsters before too. I usually just made lobster bisque out of it and we never got sick. We decided perhaps we were freezing them wrong. Instead of throwing the entire live lobster into the freezer, this last limit Joe got we separated the living lobster from their tails (ouch!) and we froze the tails individually,wrapped well. So far all of the tails when defrosted and steamed or boiled have turned out firm tender meat. Hopefully this works all the time.
