The next General Meeting will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Round Table Pizza, 4330 Redondo Beach Blvd.,
Torrance, CA. Meetings are free and visitors are especially welcome to attend.

December 3. Kathy Kalohi - Seashell Collection. Kathy Kalohi has been a long time collector of seashells. Besides seashells, she had started collecting fossils the past 20 years. She will bring some Florida specimens to show and discuss on how and where to collect both topside and underwater. If audience members want to bring their specimens that would be fun too!

January 7. There will be a meeting but no special program. Have a Happy New Year's Day holiday.

February 4. Sean Eckley - Volunteer Diving Program at the California Science Center. Sean Eckley is a Dive Safety Officer at the California Science Center. He is currently recruiting new dive volunteers to help maintain exhibits and provide care for aquatic animals. They have a 188,000 gallon Kelp Forest Exhibit featuring over 45 different species of fish, as well as live kelp growth. In order for them to maintain their exhibits and promote conservation and knowledge about our oceans, they have a dedicated team of volunteer divers that come in throughout the week to help clean, feed, and give daily dive show presentations to guests about the amazing animals we have off our coastline. March 3. TBA -

April 7. Peter Landecker - Diving in the Philippines. In October 2019, Peter dove two areas in the Philippines that he had never visited before: Dumaguete and Anileo. Dumaguete has an abundance of seahorses and frogfish. Anileo is known for super-macro and blackwater diving. Peter immersed himself for 71 hours underwater on 57 dives. He will share images he captured while on this adventure. Checkout http://tinyurl.com/pblandecker for more information about Peter.
