Sunday:

"Amazing conditions at Catalina Island today. 1st Dive at Crane Base, 60' viz, 57F. Dive 2 at Isthmus Reef NW West Wall, viz 80', 57F. Blue Caverns, drift dive south from the drop, viz 60', 57F. It was blue water all day, glassy surface conditions, overcast skies."

Monday:

"The dive gods tossed us a mixed bag today, Dive 1 on the Olympic had blue water to 50' and then yuck down on the wreck.

Dive 2 on the Valiant wreck just outside the Avalon Dive Park was blue-blue with viz to 50'.

Dive 3, a drift dive near Long Point held 50' too. We had to keep reminding ourselves it was Jan. in Socal. It looked like a summer day to us: at Avalon the cruise ship was parked outside the harbor, the parasail rides were going, and the dive park steps had a line."
