With the recent offshore winds, the visibility has been fantastic lately. We had easily 40-50 feet of vis on the Olympic wreck last year.

The forecast suggests good conditions will hold through this weekend, with 5-10 mph winds and 1-2' swells. When it's this good, it's a great time to head to the oil rigs off Huntington Beach. The destination offers lots of opportunities for macro and wide-angle photography and easy hunting for delicious scallops.

Pacific Wilderness has space available on a trip to the rigs on the Assante on Sunday Feb 16. The three-dive trip leaves from 22nd Street Landing at 7 am and will be return around 1 or 2 pm.

The cost of the trip is $140/$150 for club members/non members including snacks and air fills. Proof of advanced certification is required.
