Taking a chill pill |
Posted by Max Bottomtime on February 13, 2020 at 16:48:20: After two weeks at the Equator, it felt great to get back into our temperate water again. The green water we experienced most of last year was nowhere to be seen today as we enjoyed twenty-five feet of visibility at Golf Ball Reef. This was meant to be a shakeout dive. We had water in our drysuits every day during our trip to the Galapagos. Getting splashed, hung with wetsuits and afternoon rain showers while attempting to dry our gear left everything damp for our return home. I was concerned that we would have to send Merry's drysuit for a new zipper, but it remained dry today. One of her gloves flooded, but I replaced it once we were back at the marina. There wasn't much life on the reef, but it felt great to have good visibility and 58° water again.
