It's Friday the 13th and maybe this is our lucky day . . .

Although the Challenge generally gets $100 donations from most people who contribute, we have a few people (and stores and clubs) who support us at a higher dollar amount. And sometimes, a MUCH higher dollar amount. And we're pleased to tell you that one of those has appeared.

We are delighted to announce a $5,000 donation from someone who wishes to remain anonymous but whose donation is in memory of Dr. Jeff Sipsey. Dr. Sipsey was for many, many years the physician who was assigned to oversee all medical care at our Chamber. He wasn't a diver himself (and admittedly didn't quite understand why we enjoyed going underwater so much) but he's the one who was going to be there and supervise your care in case you got into trouble. And best of all, over the years he trained many other hyperbaric physicians, so his impact and influence on our sport lives on. We sincerely appreciate the donation and will also always have fond memories of Dr. Sipsey and the lasting impact he had on SoCal divers.

Now we'd like to get to our next plateau. Obviously, another $5,000 donation will do the trick but so will a bunch of $100 ones. So who's next? Who will help push us over $8,000?
