I appreciate all that they do, but this criticism is warranted because of the historical opportunity lost. What do you have to say?

"Begg Rock is a Marine Protected Area (MPA) 🧐 The people who designated Begg Rock failed to designate ANY portion of San Nicolas Island. Now the island has been denuded of all kelp canopy because none of it was protected from the Finfisher.😳 Because of the remote location and the pristine nature of that island, failing to designate any portion is the most glaring omission to any MPA in the Western hemisphere! Congratulations California--in crafting your MPA to suit the commercial industry, 😡 you chose to protect THE least productive place in the entire bight!! A place where NO ONE fishes anyway! 😠 Unbelievable!🤬"
