It would be nice if they could keep the hoist for those that like it but i am not sure it could compete if there was a ramp option. It depends when they charge i suppose.

To be honest the price of the hoist is really secondary (the extra cost is offset by cost of gas if you motor from MDR etc) but the restrictive hours are annoying. Boating doesn't always go according to schedule and i hate watching the clock when i am having fun.

I look forward to using the ramp but the way things progress when agencies like the Coastal Commission get involved, i will probably be long past boating by the time it's finished.
