What a way to start the week!!! Not only do we have a large donation, but we again underscore the value of a corporate match. (Adding sunshine to a rainy day as a bonus.)

The donation comes from longtime Chamber support (and longtime crew member) Cyd Yonker who again this year comes in at the Platinum level. Cyd not only knows, but has seen first-hand, how valuable our Chamber can be when a diver in distress needs immediate recompression treatment that only a hyperbaric chamber can provide. And her generosity is matched by her employer, E. & J. Gallo Winery, through their corporate match program, which ends up doubling her donation to our Chamber.

We can further crow about Craig Wood, coming in for a Silver level donation and helping to keep our momentum going and moving us in the right direction.

We know not every company has a corporate match program but if you’re planning on making a Challenge donation, it’s certainly worth double-checking with your HR department to see if such a program exists in your workplace. But even if that’s not there, every donation helps and every donation, regardless of the amount, is an affirmation and validation of the concept that we, as divers, need to support the Chamber that we might need some day.
