CHAMBER DAY & CHAMBER EVE 2022 - EVENT UPDATE "D" (as of 4/1/22 @ NOON) |
Posted by Chamber Day 2022 on April 01, 2022 at 12:57:10:
For obvious reasons, especially for those of you who know me well, I am extremely hesitant to post anything meaningful on April 1 of any year. But I assure you that everything that follows is legit, despite this day’s claim to fame. We’re more or less at the halfway point (a little more than four weeks to go until May 4) and we’re making good progress. But we never want to rest on our laurels and always want to emphasize how critical your support is in any and all aspects of Chamber Day because this event provides roughly 55% of the funding needed to keep our Chamber open 24/7/365. Can you imagine how awful it would be to be in need of a Chamber treatment only to be told, “Sorry, we’re closed today. Try us again tomorrow.” That’s not a tenable situation. Your support absolutely makes all the difference. Whether you’re just getting a t-shirt, diving on a boat, coming to Chamber Eve (or virtual Chamber Eve if you don’t want to be in a crowd), making a Challenge donation, or whatever works for you, every dollar helps. And the real question to ask yourself is: What is the peace of mind you get knowing your Chamber is there for you worth? $100, $500, more? You decide and let us know with your donation. The direct link to our sign-up page is: https://usc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cTKwbhUykVzL95Q We have some housekeeping things to cover as well. We have to conduct this event under the COVID protocols of both USC (who runs the Chamber) and the Aquarium of the Pacific (who hosts Chamber Eve). Both institutions are updating their protocols regularly and we’ll do our best to keep you posted as to what’s what. Here’s what’s in effect as of 4/1: The other housekeeping note is that starting today, we’ll be doing a FaceBook Live video update every Friday at 5PM PDT. Go to the Chamber Day FaceBook page to watch or access the video archives on the same page if you can’t watch the live webcast. Please remember it takes a few days from when you sign-up until it reaches me so there are likely sign-ups in the pipeline that are not reflected below. Here’s where we are as of Noon on 4/1/22: CHAMBER DAY BOATS – TWO DIVES & A WALKING TOUR OF OUR CHAMBER Asante (SSA) – 7 sold, 7 available FLYING DUTCHMAN (don’t forget to include your “pirate” name) Dutchman sign-ups by sponsor: CHAMBER EVENING IN-PERSON TABLES (table sponsor) Pacific Wilderness #1 – SOLD OUT V.G.D.
