Neil Armstrong may have said, “That’s one small step” but if he were writing this update he might add, “. . . and one giant leap for the Chamber Challenge.” And that’s because we’ve made a huge leap forward with a single donation of $10,000 that pushes us past the $45,000 mark.

That donation in question comes from Glenn Suhd. This is the second year Glenn has been able to make such a large donation to our Chamber. Glenn describes himself as just a “regular diver.” But he’s someone who understands the value of having a resource like our Chamber available 24/7/365. And even though Glenn’s cut back on his California diving, he’s still wants to support such a valuable institution like our Chamber for the overall benefit of our diving community. We thank him very much for his continued support.

Glenn’s donation certainly underscores that how often you dive California shouldn’t be the determining factor in whether you or not you make a donation to our Chamber. Your donation may benefit you, but it also benefits the local diving community as a whole in keeping our Chamber open. On top of that, we share information and techniques with other chambers around the nation and around the world, so your contributions really do have a positive effect that extends beyond Southern California.

We’re five weeks away from Chamber Day 2023 and we’re making progress. But we’ve still got a ways to go. So who’s next to add their name to our list? Who can push us over $50,000 and beyond? Here’s the direct link to help us get there: https://usc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dnemil47PUc8aGy
