We gave a little nudge and you responded!!! The last 48 hours have been nicely active for the Challenge as we move ever-closer to that magical $100,000 mark.

Giving us a large leap forward are our good friends at Galileo Capri with their annual $5,000 Platinum-level donation. They’re in the real estate biz and they know the value of location, location, location. So they appreciate the fact that the location of our Chamber on Catalina Island makes our Chamber uniquely situated to provide service to injured divers from anywhere in Southern California.

Next up is one of the dive clubs that regularly supports our Chamber with both a Chamber Eve table (they still have seats available) and a generous $1,000 Challenge donation. That would be SOCDC, also known as the South Orange County Dive Club. We appreciate their continued support.

And we have a 6-pack of $500 Silver-level donors this morning, led by Patti Wetzel making a donation in memory of her brother Tom Wetzel. Tom was not only a longtime SoCal instructor, but also a key member of our Chamber Committee. Patti’s joined by Rex Uber, Gary Williams, Louis Weisberg, and Doug Lada, as well as Kathy Kaholi whose donation is in memory of her friend Don Mueller.

We’ve got room for more!!! And we need YOUR support as well. Tomorrow marks two weeks until the event (Wednesday, May 3) and we are tantalizingly close to that $100,000 mark. Can you help push us past that? Remember that our Chamber relies on public funding for roughly 55% of the annual budget.
