We made it past $100,000!!! And we’ve got a bunch of people to thank for it.

The push started with a wonderful Platinum donation from Maja Vrvilo. Maja’s been a diver for quite some time and although she doesn’t dive as often as she used to, she still understands how valuable the Chamber can be to the overall diving community, as well as how it could be critical for her even if she’s only doing a few dives a year. So Maja’s donation gave us the initial push.

It seems only fitting then, that Skip Tucker’s family donation at the Gold level in his memory is the one that actually pushed us past $100K. Skip not only loved diving but loved sharing his love of diving with his family and community. He is greatly missed.

We also have a Silver donation from Peter Croke. Even though the majority of Peter’s California dives are at the Aquarium of the Pacific, that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten how vital our Chamber can be even to AOP divers. And we have some Bronze-level donations as well.

Just because we passed the $100K threshold, that doesn’t mean we should stop. There are still 84 of you who donated last year and who we haven’t heard from this year. (Yes, we keep track of these things.) And there’s even more of you reading this right now who have never donated to the Challenge.
