Merry Passage made a blue water dive five miles off Redondo Beach this morning. She will post some of her gelatinous finds later. I followed her dive with a return to Golf Ball Reef. I told myself I wouldn't dive here for a long time as the marine life had become scarce. Well, it's back. In spite of the five feet of visibility and decent current, I had a fun dive. I found juvenile Calico rockfish and juvenile treefish as well as a large Horn shark, Cabezon and Sheepcrab. Calico Bass were all over the reef as well as sandbass. I also found a large abalone and a dozen nudibranch species.
