Many years ago a friend told me about a similar rash of dive gear stolen from vehicles in Ventura. He told me they had a BIG friend with a BIG chip who was eager for the task. My friend parked his van along the road and he and a couple diver friends went into the water. When they got back the back doors to the van were open and there were two guys rolling in the brush, big grin on the big guy...
