What is surprising is not how much excellent diving there is out there or how easy
it is to get to. What is surprising is how lightly it is visited. Just south of the
Beach at Del Mar and extending for quite a ways south are great reef areas out in
reletively shallow waters. There is a lot of life out there including fish, lobsters
and even some abalone.
Park as far south as you can at the beach or find a way down at the end of some street
to go down the hill and over the railroad tracks.
