In this society, people are often identified by their occupational role. This is important to the individual and the society. The value of the moral precept of cooperation is amazingly demonstrated in the workplace. Most business ventures are based on the abilities of a team. Often, these teams must be able to work with amazing coordination, that is possible only because of both a hereditary and a trained ability to communicate and cooperate. What about when the occupation is often based non-cooperation? Lawyers fight battles with logic, knowledge and personality. Financiers war on their competitors with strategy and financial weapons. This does not even consider the way of warriors whose battles are more physical. This competition sets the stage for a more complex moral position.Back
