This book is to illustrate ways to analyze human systems.
Human systems include basic biases that individuals rarely
notice from the time they are first taught them. This book
includes the basic biases of the author. Coming from the west,
monogamy seems most natural to me. From another culture, polygamy
might seem to be the natural way. These biases have great
consequence in terms of human ecology and can be viewed in terms
of their consequences in a system.
If this were written from the point of view of another
culture, the model used would undoubtably be different. So the
model used is an examination of western culture, especially,
American culture, habits and genetic nature. Other cultures will
use similar methods to create models of themselves.
At the same time this illustrates that we do not know what
biases and beliefs will be required in the next stable ecologies.
Islamic beliefs serve people of very limited resourse as opposed
to the western religions that served colonists expanding into new
lands.
What biases, beliefs and cultures are utilized will depend
on which cultures can create or exploit existing niches.
Part of the intent of this analysis is to show some ways
that niches for different biases in western culture can be
understood.
