I've posted a brief report (and a handfull of photos) on last Saturday's trip with the Great Escape. Go to the web site:

www.francisquito.org

and follow the link to the "Water Planet" page.

The trip was originally scheduled for Santa Barbara Island, but storm debris in the channel prompted a daylight-only crossing.

These were our first dives as licensed lobster hunters, so we didn't over-task ourselves with photography. I do need some help with fish ID, though - the photo of the large-eyed fish. Can anyone clue me in? It's the same species that Max B. got photos of in his Orion III trip report.

To help make up for the lack of photos, I captured this macro shot in my hotel room this morning while on a landlocked business trip in the Rockies.

Best regards to all.
