Thanks for the I.D. help. Wow, that's a lot of eggs from a fairly small creature. I've seen some hefty sea hares around Anacapa, up to 8 or 9 inches in length, and I'm guessing that it was a pretty big specimen that left this ball of eggs.
By the way, I have really enjoyed viewing your trip reports and photography on your web site. You've obviously put a lot of effort into taking high-quality images. And you may have single-handedly convinced me to make Cozumel my first far-away dive destination.
