...it's up to you to set the expectations on your ship, right? If you are having problems with lazy, or disrespectful DM's that won't work to give the paying customers the dive adventure they deserve, then take control, have a Dive Master meeting before Dive Master breifing and lay down the rules. Or lay down the rules with the shop owner when they charter the boat.

Maybe, All DM's will:

(a). Arrive early.
(b). Place their gear in the worst places
(c). Take no bunks before students and paying customers
(d). Help the customers get their gear form the car to the boat.
(e). Assist with waivers.
(f). Spend at least one dive on deck watch.
(g). whatever you want, Capt.
