No cobbles at Monastery, just very large grained
sand, more than 1/16", less than 1/8", called
"Monsterberries". It does get very deep very fast,
and there's often a shelf in the sand where it will go
from just being a bit steep to dropping a foot in the
next step, which can cause a tumble even if there's
no surf at aall if you aren't expecting it or are
a little inattentive (A good reason to have you
reg in your mouth).

Dunno what you mean by "what type of shore break.".
It can dump pretty good, and it can be very
changeable, going from shin high to waist high over
the course of a dive, so you better know how to
get out. The "Monastery Crawl" isn't an insult,
it's a survival skill.
