Here is Bob's response to my question whether DUI's crushed neoprene CF200 compresses at depth.

"Regaling dose CF200 (crushed foam) compress with the depth? I would
fictionally say that it dose not, however technical even the hard rubber used
in making car tiers yield (compress) with depth, it is a function of the
materials bulk modules.

However for a diver in the range of 300 foot range I would say there is no
noticeable effect. In fact the process used to make the CF200 suits is use to
make hot water headed suits for Saturation divers, these suits are crushed in
the same manner a CF200 suits. You my ask way! The fact is suit made with
expanded foam neoprene not only gets thinner with depth the get smaller, think
about it the air cell are round sphere and the spheres do not go flat with
depth the get smaller in all dimensions.

Regarding the test done by WKKP. I am not aware of any tests, from what I
remember the TLS suits where addlepated when Bill Gavin was leading the pushes
and DUI provided TLS suits as part of sponsor package. Bill worked with at the
Naval Costal Systems Station at the time and was familiar with both the TLS and
CF200. In fact Bill and I worked on several projects at the lab together,
however as I said before I am not aware of test done to select the TLS over the
CF200."

OK, bottom line is that I was wrong in believing that crushed neoprene does not compress at all. The good news as I understand it is that in diver-relevant terms, crushed neoprene does not compress significantly.

As far as my bet with MHK is concerned, my $20 had been sent to the Catalina Chamber on October 3, independent of this outcome.
