Both have good and bad points. You are right with the idea of getting
rid of the 3 point tip. You will loose too many fish. Any good tip, will
work, use what you like. I like the break away tips because if you do not
check the tip often, the fish unscrew the tip after you shoot them.
Try added a second rubber to the pole, this realy increases the hitting
power. Also get in the habit of trying to pin the fish after you shoot.
The longer that you let it just hang there, the better the chance of it
getting off. And remember no bellie shots. Fish tend to rip off of anything
when you shoot them there. The fish will die and jsut the crabs and lobsters
will enjoy the fish. Good luck.
