The costs are very comparable to any new diver purchasing a typical jacket style BS..
The resistance generally comes from diver's that have already purchased gear and then doesn't want to spend additional funds purchasing different gear. But give or take 3 - 5% the gear cost the same..
If you go to www.halcyon.net you can get a good idea of the prices, but bear in mind Halcyon is pretty sensitive to their dealer relationships and may not sell to you if you have an authorized Halcyon dealer in your area.. But for prices you can check there.. Also, Jim Hoffman at Scuba Toys sells a fair amount of gear so he may be in a better position than I am to discuss prices. Several other local shops are now selling Halcyon so I would encourage support for local shops, they are the backbone of our industry and warrant our support...
