"And on this note, does anyone know if anyone has
adapted dive planning software for PDAs yet?"

With a spread sheet program for the Palm 3.5 OS
like "sheets to Go", if you can get your planning
software to use the .xls format, you can easily
load the planning sheet onto a Palm. I have some
blending and gas management program spread sheets
that work great.

I can even (with some minor tweeking) load GUE's
DecoPlanner and take everything with me and change
plans on the boat.

I even have a camera that clips onto my IIIc
that enables be to take pictures with it and
annotate them to the logs and planning sheets.

Add to that the GPS and PCS modules that can
clip onto the unit and the Palm Pilot can be
a pretty cool tool for diving activities.
