I find this discussion very helpful in that it proves that not all divers and all dives are alike. Some never get sand in their regs, some do. At least this diver does.
Some follow a strict DIR regimen, some don't, and some try to learn from the DIR idea and adopt what they think will help them. Like this diver.
As long as there is no DIR police, no one has to go fully DIR (a tautology, I know) and I believe it raises safety already if just some of the good ideas are adopted. That's the way I am on and I appreciate everyone's help along it.
