So the reason you don't advocate the AIRII is because it is prone to failure not that they are a bad idea? I think the integrated reg into a power inflator is a damn near genius invention that is an alternate air supply that is on something you always handle. I feel rather than trash the airII's potential to be a live saving backup, design out the failure points or build a better replacement product.
One of the features that I like about the airII is the easy quick disconnect that is far superior to most of the newer BC's quick disconnects that are on the market today.
