I am not sure what MHK has in mind but if it is a DIR demo, he usually does a short talk with a question and answer time and then we dive. I like your style in trying to built your own "DIR" system. I don't think however you can built the wing and inflator. Also you must remember that the DIR program is only partly about the gear. The rest is training, practice, fitness, and the right buddy. I suggest you spend sometime searching for some dive buddies. It is a lot more fun to dive with a buddy. I like detangling kelp off of my buddy Brad. It gives me something to do!
