OK, all DIR arguments aside, I've been slowly replacing some of my "more stupid" gear. However, given the monetary constraints, it can sometimes be difficult. So I've found a couple of interesting places to get stuff, and would like to hear your interesting "secret" supply depots.

I've come accross a great place to get brass and stainless steel spring loaded clips (and not the butterfly ones, either). It's a dog collar company (odd, but true). They can be found at www.nixdogcollars.com. He does sell the suiciders, but also the good ones. Considering the double enders cost like $12-$15 each in the dive store, he has them for a $1.50 a piece.

Look for his stuff on ebay, where you can find it even cheaper.

OK, maybe more later. Anyone else care to offer a "little thought of / little used" source for dive stuff?

JRM
