Actually, no, not everyone has access to the lands. Even areas that had semi-maintained roads that a passenger car can drive down have been shut off because the area has been declared a wilderness area. A lot of us don't have the ability to hike for long distances to access areas so we build vehicles that can take us there. So your statment: "Contrairy to what you have stated, now EVERYONE has access to those lands, sans the destructive (selfish) abusers. " is self contradictory.

As far as destruction is concerned, it is the minority of people out there that cause the destruction. Most of us actually take care of the enviornment. Case in point, we are doing a cleanup at the Nellis Dunes this weekend and have invited local chapters of the Sierra Club to attended, but they declined to participate. So in response to your question: "If you call the protectors of the environment nazis, what do you call the abusers of the environment?" I call the abusers criminals. As to the eco-nazi's, I consider them two-faced, with their political agendas more important to them then actually helping out.

So what does this have to do with diving? Don't be suprised if sights are shifted to focus in on prohibiting boats from travelling in areas where dive boats frequent.
