As much as I understand what you are saying and as much as I, on first impulse, want to agree with you, I also reckognize that it would be more an emotional judgment than a factual one.
Why?
I think there is nothing wrong with further education. Nothing wrong with learning about extremes that may or may not come across our local diving.
What is wrong, and that has nothing to do with the topic of advanced > technical diving, is the tone and manners that have taken over this board. It is the bullies that I resent. The bullies that kill any normal, basic discussion. The bullies that intimidate Joe 60' Diver that he may be called anything from stupid to moron, just because dhe might not know what he is talking about.
Well, aren't we lucky that bullets can't permeate the Internet!
