Frank,
Here's the juxtaposition that we find ourselves in.. we have *discussions* with guys like Seahunt, who by his own admission, knows little, if anything, about the very things he argues about. We then get asked to provide reasons for what we so. So on the one hand when we provide the reasons, everyone screams *technobable*, and if we don't tell you why we get guys like seahunt claiming we don't know what we are talking about...
If you get guys like that to shut the hell up, we will very happily explain things in laymens terms, but then I don't want to hear later that we didn't produce some study...
And as to your final point about the application to recreational diving, I would ask you this...
Do you think when the Navy first started experimenting with Nitrox that it would benefit the recreational diver????
Do you think that advances in gear and standardizing of configurations doesn't save lives???
What starts out in the commercial and/or military world generally does in fact help the recreational world..
