It takes an experienced educator and a quality education.
Accident analysis is a cheap way and a start to do that if you are unwilling to pay to be trained by those who can actually make a difference.
How do you know if you don't know?
Personal choices to take chances should not be publicly promoted. And bragging or taking a public stance on dangerous activities that have proven to kill such as solo diving without a BC incourages deadly behavior.
