I swim with my camera year around, destination depends on the weather. Last month i took 3 trips. The first was was Begg Rock/Nicolas, the swell was down, but the current was too strong to leave the boat. Two weeks later it was back to Nicolas for a swim in that kelp by the green buoy. The w/e before last it was the Cortes Bank. I wanted to see what those huge waves (last winter) had done to the kelp and wreck. The water was 57-58 with 35ft vis. The kelp was in good shape, but there was evidence of a huge surge as some places had the sand completely scoured away. I saw lots of perch, but no gamefish to photograph. There was a huge school of spanish mackeral on the bank and in the kelp.
It would be fun to see pictures that others have taken right here in OUR waters. Any pictures to share?
