Fair question that I believe deserves a response..
I'm pleased to say that my DM class lasted over 1 year.. I told my primary instructor Alessio Girotti ( now living in Gran Turk, but formerly of Reef Seeker's) that I could care less about the damn C-card, I was more interested in LEARNING what the hell is going on.. Alessio was an *old timer* from Italy that grew up as a kid free diving pouching for lobsters and was in the water very early in life.. He and I both understood that I didn't give a sh*t about getting certified inasmuch as I wanted to know what was going on.. I assisted many classes from a variety of different instructors while doing my apprenticeship...
BTW, I'll note FTR that while Ken Kurtis and I don't see eye to eye any longer, I also assisted in his classes so feel free to ask Ken about my apprenticeship...
