How he configures for his dives should be of no concern of yours. He asked for an opinion pro or con on his gear list. Not what you thought someone else would think of him. A better way of responding would have been to take each of his items and explain why it's is not approprate for the diving he does. That would be tough to do though because he didn't describe the diving he does other than he apperas to by as DIR as psooible. There is more to diving and gear setup than what your friendly neighborhood NAUI or PADI professional promotes, I don't care how many students they have flushed through their organization's system.
