Kevin and I were on the boat as paying customers, not as babysitters or unpaid DM's. Giving unsolicited advice to marginally qualified OW newbies is, indeed, a very slippery slope, and could result in some serious litigation.
BTW, I would like everyone to know that the CONCEPTION no longer checks divers in or out of the water and takes no roll call before moving the ship. Of course they still require the signing of boiler plate waivers of their own responsibility.
