Full Face Masks have their drawbacks, many drawbacks. The currents are very heavy on the Empress of Ireland, and the water is freezing cold, I mean its actually below freezing. There is severe task loading on this type of dive. MHK pointed this out and he is 100% on the target.
But they also have their advantages. I hope to cash in on those.
I think what we all try to do in diving is maximize the assets and minimize the liabilities, or eliminate the liabilities. ( I guess its kinda like first dates ) That is the basics of safe diving no matter what label you put on it.
