Here are some thing that can be done and should be done to make the Yukon safer(and
will make the boats in San Diego even more money, which is what I think is the real issue
here).

1. Place signs at the entrances on the wreck, that say something like “Divers have Died
Penetrating Wrecks”(if divers still go in after this warning, then so be it).

2. The Yukon is a deep, cold water dive, divers should show experience in this type of
diving, before they are allowed to dive it (a Divemaster can tell if a diver is lying or not).

3. If divers who don’t have the experience to dive this deep, cold water dive, they should
go with a Divemaster, Instructor, who has experience on the wreck and leading
divers(and pay that Divemaster or Instructor for that tour).

This wreck is not a safe dive for many divers (if this wreck had of sank as planned, it
would of been a Disneyland). The way it is now it could be a death trap to many
and the diving community should see this and stop living in denial.
