I agree, the 3R's is a great program and it helps improve your skills. Also, we do a different site every month from May - October, so you get to learn new stuff and different entry situations at every session.

We get all sorts of divers - free divers (not scuba certified), as well as divers whose skills are a little rusty and they want to get back into it. Or experienced divers that want an orientation to a site that they've been meaning to try for some time. All the in-water work is in snorkeling gear, no scuba gear, so you get a gradual acclimation to the skills.

But in my opinion, the divers that benefit the most from the 3R's are the folks that had either a difficult or unpleasant introduction to beach diving (or no beach diving at all) in their Open Water Course. Many divers have told me that their self confidence has improved greatly, as well as having gained a better understanding when to "just say No" due to adverse diving conditions.

In addition, you get a damn fine BBQ meal afterwards.
