Slim, How do you get that 50 lb.bag of lobsters to the surface from a 100ft? Diving without a BC is no big deal, most of us dove that way in the early 70's right out of the basic class(we were all macho then, and diving without a BC was less restricting). BUT the BC gives you one more option (if the sh#t hits the fan). You guys are diving in some very hairy places, someday you may need that option.
