it was my first time using the tubular webbing that i picked up from 'rei' and though it worked just fine when dry, i found out that when in the water, it was very difficult to don the rig. specifically, it was difficult to slip the waist strap into the buckle: too flexible means too flimsy in the water.
oh, well, no harm in trying new things out.
back to flat webbing.
