night diving: get a light (or two) and dive at night. but be smart
and dive a site you know.

deep diving: dive deep (not too deep, but technically speaking greater
than 60 feet is deep)

wreck diving: find a wreck and dive it (stay the hell out of it
though unless you are trained)

boat diving: dive from a boat

drift diving: dive in a river or other current and you be drift diving

ice diving: find ice, saw hole, tie off, go diving

(i know that last will cause some folks all manner of discomfort ;-)

anywho: my point is that "specialty cert" can be/has been taken to
the lunatic fringe
