Hi AADiver
Say I like your idea, except that it really isn't a whole lot better than P.P. systems.
It is ture that the system only cost U.S.$2000. And that is a great price if that where all that was neede to start filling nitrox. One of the other requriments was a compressor that is oil free. An oil free compressor costs around $10,000 US and only goes up from that. Most compressors in dive shop are not oil free.
This system still uses 100% O2 to start.
The membrain system is somewhat cheapper because you won't have to buy a new compressor.
If you think I've been breathing to much O2 --then check it out for yourself.
I still think its a good idea and worth lookinginto for a dive shop.
Bye
