Phil, for that matter so is every dive store which sells halcyon gear. GUE was created well before the proper gear was offered to the general public though Halcyon. Halcyon was the first to equipment manufacturer to support DIR and that is where the connection is.
Halcyon built no-nonesense life support equipment designed by the most extreme divers in the world. These equipment concepts are a major part of what they truly believe allows them to complete such extreme dives with minimal risk over and over. And Jarrod, George, Robert and many others wanted to share it with the diving world.
What wrong with that. Personally, I choose to thank them for it.
