Bring some soy, wasabi and pickeled ginger on the boat. Scallop is best freshest. You can eat it underwater too and it is good. I no longer take scallop except for same day eating. The rigs are the best place with Begg Rock second, probably followed by any front side point on Santa Cruz or San Miguel Islands. Begg Rock is a good place to leave the shells, cuz they're so hard to get off.
