Greetings Cypress Point customers,
We have sold the Cypress Point to a Research & Exploration company in
Santa Barbara. This decision did not come easily.
We had originally sought to lease the Point on a weekday basis to
this company for use in the San Francisco bay area. The company
surprised us with an offer to buy the boat - an offer we could not
refuse.
When comparing our two boats, the SEA is a more stable and user
friendly platform for diving due to it's hull design, as well as
being newer, using less fuel and being easier to maneuver. The Santa
Barbara company needed a powerful, big deck boat for use with their
ROVs and hard hat divers so the Point was exactly what they were
looking for.
Both of our crews will remain in tact with Capt. Phil & Capt. Dave
splitting the duties. This winter we will haul out the SEA and
refurbish it to keep it in top form. We will modify our schedule for
the new year to include new days and times as well as night dives.
The Point will be operating off the coast in N. Calif. so you just
might see it while you are diving off the SEA.
