something you can do to make your nasty custom mouthpiece less nasty is take wire cutters and cut off the back ends of them. thats becaue they are usually pointed to begin with, especially after you have heated and moulded them to your mouth. the back ends will stick into the gums of anyone else who uses your mouthpiece and it hurts.

another thing you can do is just use a standard ScubaPro mouthpiece. One size fits all, they are very comfortable, and there is no need for the custom mouthpiece at all.

whoever invented the custom mouthpiece was a marketing genius but a diving moron. they sell well, all by themselves, but they dont function well in the Open Water.
